The Immigration Administration has raised the minimum limit for foreigners to purchase real estate to obtain a short-term residence permit. From October 16, 2023, it was announced to foreigners that the lower limit of $75 thousand has been increased to $200 thousand in relation to real estate that they will purchase to obtain a residence permit.
When applying for a short-term residence permit for real estate with a purchase date of 10/16/2023 and later, the sales price of the title must be at least 200 thousand dollars equivalent to Turkish lira based on the Central Bank foreign currency selling rate on the date of receipt of the title for all cities (date of title acquisition).
The limit of $75,000 will apply to real estate (villas, apartments, apartments, residences, land, shops) purchased before 10/16/2023.
