Short-Term Residence Permit: It is a type of residence permit approved by legal authorities that gives foreign nationals who come to our country with a visa or within the scope of visa exemption the right to stay in Turkey for a certain period of time. The majority of short-term residence permits are touristic and residence permits obtained through title deed.
Family Residence Permit: Turkish citizens, foreigners who have a residence permit though Title deet or work permit ; their foreign spouses, their or spouse's foreign children under 18 years old or dependent foreign childrens can apply
Student Residence Permit: Student residence permits are issued to foreigners who will receive primary education, secondary education, associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctorate education in Turkey.
Long Term Residence Permit: Foreigners who have stayed in Turkey with a residence permit for at least eight years without interruption or who comply with the conditions determined by the Ministry are given an indefinite residence permit by the governorships with the approval of the Ministry.
Short-Term Residence Permit
Who May Apply To Short-Term Residence Permit?
a) Foreigners who will arrive to conduct scientific research
b) Foreigners who will own immovable property in Turkey
c) Foreigners who will establish bussiness or commercial connections
ç) Foreigners who will participate in on the jop training programmes
d) Foreigners who will arrive to attend educational or similar programmes as part of student exchange programmes.
e) Foreigners who wish to stay for tourism purposes
f) Foreigners who intend to receive medical treatment
g) Foreigners who are required to stay in Turkey pursuant to a request or a decision of judicial or administrative authorities.
ğ) Foreigners who transfer from a family residence permit
h) Foreigners who will attend a Turkish language course
ı) Foreigners who will attend an education programme, research, internship or, a course by way of a public agency
i) Foreigners who will apply within six months upon graduation from a higher education programme in Turkey
j) Foreigners who do not work in Turkey but will make an investment 400.000$ property, 500.000 bank deposit or company which has more than 50 Turkish worker, and their foreign spouses , his and her foreign minor children or foreign dependent children
k) Citizens of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus
Requirements for type (b) for those who own real estate (Title Deed) in Turkey
• Those who own real estate in Turkey can apply for a residence permit through the Land Registry. The title deed value must be over $200,000.
• Foreign health insurance (must cover the requested residence period)
• Numarataj , Dask (earthquake insurance) and Expertise report are required.
• Filling out the application form, paying the fee and card fee.
Requirements for type (e) of stay for tourism purpose
• Türkiye’de turizm amaçlı kalmak isteyelenler başvurur.
• Foreign health insurance (must cover the requested residence period)
• Numarataj , Dask (earthquake insurance) and rental contract are required.
• Filling out the application form, paying the fee and card fee.
• Applicants may be asked to prove their financial situation.
Family Residence Permit
Turkish citizens, foreigners who have a residence permit though Title deet or work permit ;
1) Their foreign spouses,
2) Their or spouse's foreign children under 18 years old
3) Dependent foreign childrens ,

Details
A family residence permit can be issued for a maximum of three years at a time..
The sponsor is asked for financial documents sufficient to support the family.
If the sponsor ıs a foreigner, the residence period to be granted cannot exceed the residence period of the sponsor.
According to the law of the country of citizenship, in case of marriage with more than one spouse, only one of the spouses is given a family residence permit. However, children from other spouses can also be granted a family residence permit.
In the family residence permit of children, if the mother or father who has joint custody of child live outside of Turkey, the consent from them required.
Family residence permits provide the right to education in primary and secondary education institutions until the age of eighteen without obtaining a student residence permit.
Student Residence Permit
1) Student residence permits are issued to foreigners who will receive primary education, secondary education, associate degree, bachelor's degree, master's degree or doctorate education in Turkey.
2) Foreigners who will receive primary and secondary education, whose care and expenses are undertaken by a real or legal person, may be granted and extended a student residence permit for one-year periods during their education, with the consent of their parents or legal representatives.
Details
Student residence permit does not provide any right for the student's parents and other relatives to obtain a residence permit.

Students do not pay residence fees.
Foreign health insurance (must cover the requested residence period).
Filling out the application form, paying card fee.
Undergraduate, bachelor's degree , master's and doctoral students receiving formal education in Turkey can work by obtaining work permit. However for Undergraduate, bachelor's degrees this is only possible only after first year of education.
Long Term Residence Permit
Foreigners who have stayed in Turkey with a residence permit for at least eight years without interruption or who comply with the conditions determined by the Ministry are given an indefinite residence permit by the governorships with the approval of the Ministry.
Conditions for long-term residence permit;
Not having received social assistance in the last three years
Having a sufficient and regular source of income to support yourself and family
Health insurance
Not to pose a threat to public order or public security.
Refugees, conditional refugees and subsidiary protection status holders, humanitarian residence permit holders and those granted temporary protection are not granted the right to transition to a long-term residence permit.
Rights provided by long-term residence permit;
They benefit from the rights granted to Turkish citizens, except for military service, electing and being elected, entering into public office, importing vehicles as exemptions and regulations in special laws.
