According to the decision published in the Official Gazette with the signature of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, the SCT (special consumption tax) amounts in fuel have increased. The 6 lira increase was reflected in the pump prices as of midnight.
According to the decision, the SCT amount charged on the liter price of unleaded gasoline increased from 2.52 lira to 7.52 lira, and the tax amount levied on the liter price of diesel fuel increased from 2.05 lira to 7.05 lira. Autogas, on the other hand, will be 5.77 lira SCT. In addition, the SCT amounts of products such as benzol, tuluol, xyol, solvent naphtha and mineral lubricants were also increased.
After the SCT decision, there was a 6 lira price increase in the gasoline and diesel group, effective from Sunday.
In Istanbul, the liter of gasoline increased from 28.05 lira to 34.05 lira, and the liter of diesel increased from 26.32 lira to 32.32 lira.
