The house price index (PPI) rose 90.3 percent in August. The increase compared to the previous month was 5.5 percent. The Central Bank of the Republic of Turkey (CBRT) released housing price statistics for August.
The RPI, which is calculated to monitor changes in quality-adjusted house prices in Turkey, rose 5.5 percent in August from the previous month to 1,043.0.
The RPI, which rose 90.3 percent compared to the same month last year, increased 21.9 percent in real terms over the same period.
If we evaluate the dynamics of housing price indices in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, then in August compared to the previous month there was an increase of 5.4, 5.2 and 5.5 percent, respectively.
Compared to the same month last year, house price indices increased by 78.4, 100.4 and 90.3 percent in Istanbul, Ankara and Izmir, respectively.
